The Vargouille is a grotesque, flying head with bat-like wings sprouting from either side of its severed neck. Its features are twisted and infernal, with a paralyzing gaze and a haunting screech.
I had heard of these creatures, though this was my first time seeing them. (Successful Nature check)
Vargouilles are fiendish parasites — often found in areas tainted by infernal influence or abyssal corruption. Their bite carries a horrific curse: if not treated in time, it can transform a humanoid victim into another Vargouille.

- Flight: Moves via leathery wings, generally hovering at head height.
- Paralyzing Screech: Emits a horrifying scream that can paralyze those who hear it.
- Infectious Bite: A bite from a Vargouille risks infecting the victim with a transformative curse.
- Prefers Isolated Victims: Often strikes when its prey is separated or vulnerable.
🧪 Observed Traits
- Operated alongside Emberachnids in the Silver Canopy — unusual, given their usual infernal origins.
- Appeared opportunistic rather than strategic — may have been drawn to the carnage or corrupted by proximity to Titan Wildfire’s influence.
