The Serene are an enigmatic, serpentine people. They possess an innate grace in both form and presence. They have long, sinuous bodies with scales that change colour based on… something.
The party mentioned that Our Serene Companion had black scales at the moment, implying to me that they have been a different colour before. However, I'm not sure what caused them to change.
They do not communicate through speech, but through songs, humming, and whistles. Among their own kind, this form of communication is as fluent and expressive as spoken language. With non-Serene, however, they project psychic imagery or emotional impressions directly into the mind.
