Maiz is a small, shadow-dachshund that follows Kara faithfully. Though small in stature, Maiz moves with a preternatural silence, never making a sound even when skittering across webs or battlefield stone.
The creature appears to be magical or supernatural in nature, though its exact origin or abilities remain unclear. Its presence is comforting to Kara, and Ryn was particularly charmed by its appearance.
Maiz did not participate directly in combat during the party’s first encounter, but stayed near Kara throughout, observing and keeping close.
