Ponyta is the affectionate nickname given by the party to the Nightmare (Creature) ridden by Ace. While I don’t know her true name, Ponyta’s appearance is striking: a horse-like creature wreathed in flickering flame, with ember-glowing hooves and a fire-forged mane.

They called her Ponyta, but I doubt that is her name. Even flame can wear a softer shape when it is tamed.
Whether Ponyta is an ordinary Nightmare trained to loyalty or a creature of unique nature remains a question to me.
